Catechism Reading

My family in Christ,

With the stay at home order in place until at least April 24, a lot of us have a lot more time than usual on our hands.  Rather than spend that time worrying about what may be, let’s use it to remember what God has done, and continues to do for us in Christ Jesus.  One way of doing this that I offer to you is read and/or pray the catechism.  Set aside some time each day to read several pages of Luther’s Small Catechism with Explanation and as you are reading, ponder the Word of God.  As you are reading and pondering, pray to the Lord of heaven and earth, allowing what you have just thought and read to be your guide.  The following guide includes reading schedules for the four most common versions of Luther’s Small Catechism with Explanation published by Concordia Publishing House.  Simply find the year of publication and follow the appropriate guide.

If for some reason you cannot find your catechism, please let me know and I will arrange to get you a copy.

Blessings in Christ Jesus,
Rev. Tim Jones
